THE STRATEGIC INTERVIEW
Interested in how the problem is being maintained now.
Strategic Psychotherapy is structured, collaborative and pattern-oriented. It does not ask you to dismiss your past or minimise what you have been through. Instead, it gives careful attention to the way a difficulty is operating in the present — and to the attempts that may be unintentionally keeping it going.
A strategic interview may identify patterns such as catastrophic prediction, negative expectancy, intolerance of ambiguity, avoidance, reassurance seeking, perfectionism, fear of judgement or difficulty trusting yourself. The aim is to create greater psychological flexibility and choice, one practical shift at a time.
Practical change, supported at more than one level.
Strategic Psychotherapy and Clinical Hypnotherapy are often used together. Strategic work helps make the pattern clear and identifies what needs to change; Clinical Hypnotherapy may then support new responses at a more automatic level. The work remains focused, respectful and tailored to your goals — with the aim of helping anxiety take up less space in the life you are already building.
